Game 4 – Eagles at John Caldwell October 1, 2024
The Eagles fresh off a clean sheet victory at home to John Caldwell, immediately went to Grand Falls to complete the season series against them on their own field. JCS opened the scoring at the 5’ mark of the first half after the Eagles missed several chances. After the slow start the Eagles got off the ground with a goal from Obey in the 13th minute, followed by Zizou at 21 minutes. Meriem was instrumental in combining with Lorenzo for him to find the back of the net in the 32nd minute. The first half finished with a 3-1 score.
The second half saw brilliant play from everyone. Second half goals came for Horland, Zizou and JP. Noah took down a player to prevent a goal in the second half, however in doing so he was in the penalty area and JCS was awarded a penalty kick form the spot.
Dimi showed his mettle and stood strong and save the penalty to keep teh score at 6-1. The players all showed tenacity and didn’t given the JCS players much space to maneuver. The game was well-played and the victory well deserved. “I couldn’t be more proud of the way the team is gelling and working hard for each other”, said Coach Kevin, “This was a very good game for the Eagles”.
