The Eagles flew into Carleton North High School on Sunday September 29 and had a great game against a full varsity AA team.  The performance was solid and ended in a 1-1 draw.  The Eagles missed several good chances and should have had 2 or 3 early goals.  The first half finished with the score tied 0-0.  The Carleton North Stars scored first, off a header from a corner that was not well defended early in the 2nd half.

Continued pressure from the Eagles and a misplay by the CNHS goalkeeper under pressure from Zizou had him free on goal to slot the ball into an open net.  Dimi stood tall in the Eagle net and provided a stable base at the back.  The Eagles took to flight with a point on the road.

Monday, September 30 at 11 AM, under bright blue skies, the Eagles played a home game against John Caldwell School and performed beautifully.  Passing and movement continue to improve, and the teamwork is getting better.  Zizou opened the scoring in the 11th minute and added another at the 25-minute mark.  Noah saved a goal in the first half that would have given more life to JCS.  The team added a spectacular goal on a one-timer, one-touch shot by Nathan to make the score 3-0.

Everyone played well.  JCS had few shots on goal the first half but managed three in the second half.  The score ended at 3-0.  The stands were full of fans and the players got energy from the cheering – it makes a huge difference playing for a crowd.  Thank you to all who attended.
