Congratulations to Theonils Beland-Rahm for their third place win at the provincial chess tournament held in Moncton NB on April 6 and 7.

Theonils placed first in the district earlier this year out of all the Grade 5 chess masters who participated. They then went on to the provincials where they were pitted against Grade 5 contenders from across New Brunswick!

What an accomplishment. They have nerves of steel and incredible focus and concentration and is also a really really nice human. We are so proud of them! Thank you to Mr. House (and Mr. Michaud) for organizing the Saint Mary’s players and taking them to the district competition.
