Friday, January 12, a day of firsts for a lot of our students. Two buses full of students from Grade 6-12 made their way to Centre Jean Daigle for a couple of hours of what Canadians do for fun in the winter. SKATING. Can you imagine the reaction of someone who has never dealt with ice strapping blades on their feet and maneuvering around a full-size arena. Ice ice baby! Winter carnival ended with a blast!

I’m here for the hot chocolate.”
Fashion never takes a holiday.
The boards are my friend!
how do you door dash hot chocolate to Centre Jean Daigle?
Japan and Saudi Arabia! We got this bruh.
The ice surface is getting closer. Bend your knees. Bend your knees. bend your knees!
Just look cool. They’re taking our picture so look like you know what you’re doing.
who ever said skating in jeans was a good idea???? I am not falling down. nope.
a view from the stands. Almost everyone vertical. That’s a miracle.
peace out man
We did it!
The whole gang.
The one where I go ice skating in all blue.

A huge thanks to Ms Toner who organized the outing, found skates and helmets for every single person who wanted to go and to the staff members who took the time to help out all our novice newcomers.

Another Saint Mary’s success.
