June 8: The buildup to this apocalyptic showdown was unbelievable. Team jerseys were designed, strategies were laid, practices were held, cards were created, scripts were written, music was selected, announcements were made, funds were raised and it all came down to an hour or so on the floor with students pitted against staff. It was a nailbiter that ended in a shoot out! How much better can it get?

All funds raised were donated to the Marner Assist Foundation. What is the Marner Assist Foundation? A charitable foundation to provide assistance in creating a sustainable future for all children.

The goal of the Marner Assist Foundation is to generate sustainable change for children and youth by providing resources that will make a significant impact on their lives. The focus is to provide assistance in the areas of children’s social care, health, education as well as supporting environmental causes to ensure our children have a sustainable future.

Staff had hockey cards printed and had a on-site signing for all their fans. $1.00/card that could easily become a collector’s item. The old I knew them when cause we all know anyone of these members could get THE call! Such is their skill!
