What better way to spend a few hours than to lose yourself in a film? When you are new to an area it can be hard to meet people, make friends, start conversations…add a language issue and it can be downright daunting. High school can be a tough go and if you are new to a school, the area and the country even, well, you can see where we are going with this. Mrs Toner (EAL Teacher) organized a social outing for some of our newcomer highschoolers and with the support of our local movie theater it was all that and a bag of popcorn!

Cinema V is right here in the city and boasts several screens for your viewing pleasure. The High School EAL students got together and saw a movie! What better way for a teen to get out, socialize, see a part of the city and feel Canadian?

Thank you to James Gallant and his Cinema V staff for their generosity and warm welcome to our newest city dwellers.
